Yes, yes ,yes! You perfectly encapsulated all of my thoughts on CBT. It never helped me at all. It was so frustrating to spend my weeks analyzing myself with no results. I found a therapist a year ago who focuses on mindfulness and Internal Family Systems, which is a newer therapy modality that uses mindfulness as well.

Supposedly CBT helps people, according to the research, but it probably did more harm than good for me.
